URBAN RATS is an artist studio co-founded by Shi Luyao and Feng Ge in 2020. The group practice is based on the creative methods of photography and drawing. The works include art books completed in cooperation, and art works completed independently by the two main creators.

Shi Luyao
Shi Luyao is a photographer and artist based in Shanghai and Ningbo. He completed his postgraduate degree from Royal College of Art on Photography. His work combines image, video and self-publishing.

Feng Ge
Feng Ge is an illustrator and visual artist, currently working and living in Shanghai. Ge completed her BA in fashion design from Beijing institute of fashion technology, then went to Royal college of art continue her study about visual art. Her work often starts from thinking about the conflict between the individual and the environment , which combines drawing, printmaking and moving images.
